Porthtowan beach nestles in the cliffs on the spectacular North Cornwall coast.  Porth literally means ‘cove’ and towan means ‘dunes’, which is a very apt description of the village and its glorious beach.  The area has a relaxed beach vibe and is more laid back and less developed than some of the other popular North coast resorts.
