We were very pleased with the location of the apartment and even though only a short stay, we were able to sit on the sofa and gaze at the ocean. The apartment was clean, tidy and comfortable. Loved the boot wash bucket at the bottom of the stairs. That kept a lot of sand out. The nearby pub/restaurant Blue was good to visit and the Fish and Chip shop does need pre-booking. Worth doing.

Had a fabulous week staying in Seashells, the apartment had everything we needed for our week in Cornwall. So close to the beach and the amenities in the village and a great base for exploring the rest of Cornwall. We loved watching the gorgeous sunsets from the comfort of the sofa. A fabulous little find, would recommend to anyone thinking of staying in Porthtowan.

We have had yet another fabulous week in Jenny's apartment. Always so lovely and clean and well kept. The views are amazing and the beach is so close. The parking space is one of the main reasons we book here, Porthtowan is very busy in the summer months so being able to come and go and park is brilliant.

Just returned from a week at Seashells and literally wishing we were back there already. This is our second time staying at Seashells, and I'm sure it wont be our last! - its a perfect apartment in the lovely coastal village of Porthtowan. The apartment has amazing sea views and is a fabulous location for both the beach (less than a minute away) and the surrounding areas. Seashells is clean, tidy, very comfortable and had everything we needed for our week away. Parking is straight on the doorstep too. We would highly recommend and cant wait to come back soon!

We’ve been home a week now and just want to go back! Stunning little apartment with incredible views over Porthtowan beach, not to mention only a couple of minutes walk! Super clean with everything you could possibly want for a family break away by the sea, including a parking space! Porthtowan is a very small village but has a general shop, chippy, bars, surf shop and the best ice cream shop! Centrally located for visiting most places around Cornwall. We didn’t meet the owners but they were great over email, always replied and nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend - we will definately be back! xx :-)

Clean and sparkling apartment with excellent view of the sea from the cosy sofa. Stormy weather when we were staying so happy to stay warm and admire the view., but we did walk the coastal path to St Agnes and got sunburnt on return. Weather was so Cornwall! Visited the NT mine at Redruth and would definitely recommend it. Great location for a number of super pubs, Miners Arms at Mithian, the Driftwood Spars at St Agnes and the Victory on the top of the hill were our favs.

We have just returned from a weekend break at Seashells and feel completely rejuvenated. The apartment was spotless and the thoughtful attention to detail made it really feel like a home from home. The view is priceless and location for exploring is perfect. We tried to rebook while down there but are not surprised to see it is full for the whole summer. Next year though! Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We stayed for Christmas and New Year and had the best time, flat was clean, well equipped and has the most amazing view! We enjoyed a drink in the Unicorn on the Beach and the Blue Bar, supported the village shop and enjoyed walks on the beach and cliff walks. Ideally situated for visiting Perranporth, Newquay, Truro and St Ives and various beaches. Definitely recommend and would stay again, thank you

Seashells is a perfect setting in Porthtowan with a beautiful view of the sea and surrounding area, the apartment has everything you need during your stay.
It is minutes away from the beach, good bars and a highly recommended fish and chip shop. We can’t wait to return next year 😊

We have just had the most amazing holiday at Seashells. Porthtowan itself has a fabulous beach and we love the Blue Bar for watching the sun set. This is our second visit to this flat and it was as immaculate as before. There is everything you need, with the very welcome washing machine and dryer. Not to mention the trug for the wetsuits. Excellent wifi and little extras like DVDs and games just add to the stay. The view from the sitting area, overlooking the beach, is wonderful. We will definitely be returning, thank you for a wonderful stay.

Just returned from a wonderful stay at Seashells - we have enjoyed it so much we've already booked again for next year!
The location is perfect - so close to the beach and local amenities. The view from the living room is amazing with endless seascapes, surf and sunsets. The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed. The sofa and bed were really comfy, the bathroom was clean and modern, the shower was powerful and it was great to have the washer and dryer too. Thank you so much for a really lovely holiday and we'd really recommend this to anyone wishing to have a fantastic time away in Cornwall :)

We had a great stay, we arrived at 5pm and there was tea coffee milk and biscuits for us, the apartment is excellent everything you could need is there, the view from the sofa was my favourite spot. Porthtowan is a small place great beach and beach bar to watch the sunset was amazing. We did the coastal walks and went to St Ives & Falmouth. If we were to visit again I would book this apartment without a doubt, thank you for a great stay !

It’s all about the view from the window, what a great place to just sit and watch the tides, sky, people in the sea and village life. So nice and easy to be so close to the beach, and to have our own parking spot. Lovely walks both ways over the cliffs, beautiful heathers. Porthtowan was big enough to provide several places to eat out but small and tucked away enough to not be nearly as crowded as we found St Ives when we visited. It was good to get back ”home” to Porthtowan that day. We were sorry to leave at the end of the week. Thank you

We had a lovely stay in your apartment, when we arrived it was lovely and clean and well presented, The view from the front windows were amazing of Porthtowan beach, The beach was lovely for walks and exploring , and lots of lovely hilltop walks with amazing views, we enjoyed the food in the Unicorn on the Beach pub all in walking distance.

We have just returned home from a wonderful half term break at Seashells. The apartment is perfectly situated in Porthtowan, right next the the beach and across the road from the Unicorn pub. We enjoyed glorious beaches, delicious ice-creams & gorgeous sunsets. We definitely hope to go back next year.

We have stayed at Seashells twice now and have booked 2 more visits. Seashells is beautifully maintained and very comfortable and clean. The sunsets are amazing! We love the Unicorn Pub and the Blue Bar. The fish and chips from Seasmiths are top class but you do have to book on line and collect at a given time. And the ice creams in the ice cream shop are delicious. If you want a beach holiday and don’t want to move far it’s perfect. If you want to explore other places ( and I recommend Porthleven) it is a Good centre to start from. And the other bonus is there is parking. Fabulous hosts I thoroughly recommend.

We recently spent a week in this apartment in Porthtowan. The view from the lounge was as promised - amazing. We spent every evening watching the sun go down from either the sofa or the beach! The covid policy was very clear and we felt very safe staying there. Everything you could possibly need is supplied and communication from the owner was excellent. Would highly recommend.

We've just spent a wonderful week in this lovely apartment. It was extremely clean, has a very clear Covid policy, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Porthtowan beach is beautful and the views from the apartment are amazing. We spent most evenings watching the sun go down! Really good places to eat within a very short walking distance. Communication from the owner, both before and during our stay, was excellent. This was our second stay and we shall definitely be returning! Highly recommended.

Had an amazing week in this very well situated apartment right in the heart of Porthtowan just minutes from the beach and amenities. The views are fantastic and can be enjoyed wherever you sit on the very comfortable large sofa. The apartment was very clean and had a very rigorous COVID cleaning policy which was reassuring. There was everything there that we needed for a very pleasant holiday. This is a fabulous location for a relaxing holiday. We did not use the car once during the holiday , finding plenty of local walks in the area. Great communication too from Jenny before our holiday which was a nice personal touch.
We did have excellent weather- July temperatures in September which was an added bonus. Would highly recommend the Unicorn pub which has lovely food, drinks and outstanding service. Also the Victory, just a short walk up the hill for a very warm welcome and good food.
I can not recommend Seashells highly enough for a chilled out holiday in a low-key beach location.

Our third stay at this beautiful location. Jenny has thought of everything and is the most fabulous host. Even during these strange times I felt safe and knew that all precautions had been taken. I can not recommend Seashells enough, it is just wonderful. Cannot wait to be back for new year!

Our third stay at this lovely place. Everything you need in this cosy apartment. Beautiful sea views. Very accessible for this lovely part of Cornwall. We had a different holiday this year because of Covid. Choosing to not go to the Tourist Busier places but I have to say there are so many lovely walks nearby that this is totally possible with no issues. Highly recommend here.

Seashells is the perfect location for a beach holiday! We had a fantastic week in August using the flat as a base for both porthtowan and other places in Cornwall. Just a stroll from the beach it was ideally located to go surfing every day but also easy to drive to the lizard and over to lands end. Seashells was really clean on arrival and the hosts were very friendly and answered any questions we had. It had a real “beachy feel“ with the lovely beach decor.
Would definitely book again!

We stayed at Seashells in mid July 2020. Seashells has the perfect location especially in view of the pandemic. You can still enjoy the outdoors of Porthtowan (e.g. the beach, the Blue Bar, the Unicorn etc.) but you do not need to worry about using the public toilets, you can quickly pop back to the apartment. The apartment is cosy, offers everything you need and has lovely views. It was our first time at Seashells but not the last one. Top marks.

I am still pinching myself for finding such a beautiful home from home with the most generous host in such a stunning little village. We stayed in your lovely apartment in October 19 - we had a great week. Very clean and fresh. Very well equipped, you had thought of everything.
It's a great base to visit all over Cornwall.
There is a lovely pub Unicorn 2 minute walk from apartment and the Blue Bar was great. The fish and chip shop in St Agnes is worth a visit.

We will defiantly book again.

Had a great week. Mostly sunny. Walked the coastal path both ways. Really beautiful, especially St Agnes Head. Had a meal in Taste at St Agnes. Very good indeed. Trips to St Ives and St Michaels Mount. Both lovely but quite busy. Very comfortable here in Seashells. Went to Godrevy head to walk the headland. I would advise parking on the way and walking on coast towards the beach (with sea on your right).

We had a lovely few days here - the view is wonderful! This was our honeymoon and the weather couldn't have been better!
We visited St Ives, Padstow and Bodmin, joined the National Trust which was so worthwhile!
Walks along the cliffs were stunning!
Recommend a trip to Godrevy Point to try to spot grey seals - we were a little too early. Thanks for a lovely stay!

One of our best holidays - made many memories during this week and will definitely be back! Well equipped, clean apartment in a lovely location provided a home from home, thank you. Beautiful views from the living room window, quite at night made sleeping a breeze. Loved watching the sunset and early morning waves with a cuppa/glass of something cold.
We visited St Michaels Mount, St Ives, Flambards and the Minack Theatre which are all accessible from this great spot. Also had some fun on the beach and in the rock pools here in Porthtowan. Ice cream at the local parlour is incredible I mean really out of this world!!!

Our first time in Porthtowan and what an amazing find! Seashells is just perfect a lovely home from home. We have had the most fabulous week, my highlight was Chapel Porth to see Wheal Coates although next year the coastal path up to it is my goal. My heart is not ready to take walking our 4 year old up there! So pleased we have already booked into Seashells for next summer and cannot wait to come back. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful apartment and the amazing ocean view. This is my happy place!

Had a great week at Seashells. The views are amazing and the flat is so well equipped with all that you need. Was lovely to come back at night and sit watching the sunset from the sofa. We visited many places but the Schooners at Trevaunance Cove was an absolute delight with amazing views and lovely food. The Victory Inn was really welcoming with lovely food too. Seashells is a home from home. fantastic views of the ocean. We had a lovely stay. Weather was cooler which was wonderful and a nice break from the hot temp in Essex!
Miners Arms is a treat. Lovely food and atmosphere. If you have kids Holywell bay is a must. Truro was a great visit too. Thank you for our scones and jam. what a lovely welcome. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

We have enjoyed our stay here at Seashells. The apartment is superb, the best feature of course , is the view! It was a scramble to get postition A on the sofa!
We had lots of trips out around Cornwall but coming back to Porthtowan is always a joy. We would recommend visits to St Ives and Mousehole, not to forget St Agnes! Thanks for the wine!

Wow! The view of the beach and cliffs are stunning! We have just had a wonderful week at Seashells. Thank you Jenny and Ashley for sharing your ' home from home' with us. Everything we needed was waiting for us and quickly became 'our home from home' ! A great position for exploring Cornwall, with the A30 within easy reach but great for a lazy day at Porthtowan and all it has to offer. Highly recommend Seashell.

This is our second visit to Seashells in Porthtowan, after staying here last September and the apartment being so home from home with it's cleanliness and welcoming feeling we knew we would be back.So here we were again from 31st March to 7th April and yet again felt very comfortable at Seashells. Arriving to a cream tea and milk in the fridge just what's needed after a long drive!!! I would highly recommend Seashells and I'm sure we will be back again soon. The perfect base for a great holiday!
We have 2 young children (2 & 4) and this apartment was just right for our time in Cornwall. It has a clean & modern feel to it and it was lovely to find milk, tea, coffee, sugar & wine waiting for us on our arrival.
It's very close to the beach and we enjoyed several evenings watching the sunset from the living room window.
It has a well equipped kitchen including a washing machine & tumble dryer and is a comfortable place in every respect.
We can see ourselves returning here for several years ahead and have already booked for next year.

We have just got back from a fantastic week in Porthtowan and we already want to go back. Seascape [now Seashells] had everything we needed with the added bonus of beautiful views!! It is also clean and comfortable with a well equipt kitchen for cooking or the bar down the road do a nice pizza and the ice cream place is a must! We have been going to Widemouth and Tintagel for years so it was great to try somewhere different and we will go back for sure. :)

We had an awesome few days at the Seacape [now Seashells] house. Absolutely perfect to check the waves from the couch and and I've had the best view doing the washing up ever :-). Had a nice surf session in Porthtowan. Even found the sea pool and had a beautiful sunset view from the cliffs. Thanks for the nice stay in the nice and cosy Seacape. Wow!! What a wonderful time we have had. We have really enjoyed celebrating my son's birthday in Seascape [now Seashells]. The view is to die for - especially during a thunderstorm. We are regular visitors to Cornwall but this is our first time here...we hope to come back again soon.....Thanks for a wonderful stay.

We have just returned from spending a lovely weekend here. The flat felt fresh, clean and nicely decorated. It had everything we needed. There were also DVDs, books and games suitable for all of us (2 adults and 2 children) We were fortunate to have lovely weather, and this flat really did get all the sunshine, as well as the lovely sunsets. The flat had great views towards the sea. We loved the fact we could see the size of the waves and the surfers on them from our window. We also appreciated being able to see our children in the play park from our window.
On one day we did the easy walk on the Coast Path to Chapel Porth Beach. Since it was low tide, we walked back along the spectacular beach (I believe this beach is only visible at certain times of the day due to the tide) where there was lots of sand. We were delighted to see a pod of dolphins playing in the waves when we did this. There were lots of lovely sandy pools around the rocks (these were near the edge of the beach) on the walk back between Chapel Porth Beach and Porthtowan Beach (but beware of the tide). The children loved these pools because in the sunshine they were warmer than the sea to play in. On another day we went to St Agnes and did a 'Treasure Trail' which we purchased via the internet before our stay. The longer we stayed at Seascape [now Seashells] the more we enjoyed our break.

Our first impressions of the flat was that it was sparkling! The rooms were spotless and the kitchen was full of necessities. We loved the amazing views. We have really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend this to friends and family.

The weather has been perfect and we have been on the beach every day. The apartment has everything you need but its greatest asset has to be the glorious views of the bay and the stunning sunset every evening. Cliff top walks in both directions highly recommended as are the hedgehog and foxy ice creams at Chapel Porth!
