This page is for our guests and contains information you may find useful before your arrival. Please make a note of these details before your arrival as mobile phone signal is poor in Porthtowan.
If you are likely to arrive after dark please let me know so I can leave the outside light on for you. Please also let me know if you would like me to put up the travel cot and/or highchair for your arrival.
There is a clearly marked dedicated parking space outside Seashells (number 16). Please take care of the small drop to the side and rear of the parking space when parking and exiting your car. There are also number of shared spaces opposite the apartment available on a first come first served basis; there is usually a space or two free if you have a second car.
Directions to Seashells are provided in the pre-arrival information we sent you by email. Check in is from 3pm. If you arrive early you are welcome to park in one of the shared spaces opposite Seashells (again clearly marked). The Unicorn pub, playpark, Porthtowan Beach Café, Blue beachside bar/restaurant, Moomaid ice-cream parlour and of course the beach and cliff path are all a short stroll away if you are in need of refreshment or to stretch your legs.
Information on accessing the apartment is also included in the pre-arrival info we sent you by email but if you can't find it please get in touch. Two keys are provided for your convenience – please take care of these and be sure to return them on departure.
We provide all the basics so you don’t have to bring them with you. These include:
Kitchen: washing up liquid, handwash, 2 tea towels, dishcloth, washing up sponge, oven gloves, black bin liners, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. We also provide enough tea, coffee, sugar and milk for you to have a cuppa on your arrival and a little something nice to sustain you after your journey.
Bathroom: 2 toilet rolls, handwash, hand towel, bath mat and non slip mat.
Bedrooms: 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel per guest (not beach towels), hairdryer and travel cot.
Lounge: highchair, books, toys, family games and DVDs.
If you have any further queries about what’s provided please just drop me a line.
